Making off the article

I started by looking at Pinterest for some inspiration since I wasn't sure about the look I wanted for my article. This particular article really caught my eye with its design. It seemed super easy to create and had that cool old-school modern vibe, that reminds me off an article.

I put together my article using Docs.

For my article, I went with the Georgia font (like you see in the image below) because it gave off that old-school modern vibe I wanted.

When I was working on the article, I tried to keep it simple and easy to understand. At first, I wasn't sure if I should make it dramatic or add some emotion. The first draft shows this uncertainty because it's pretty straightforward. I just mentioned some facts about social media without thinking too much about it since it was my first time writing an article, and I didn't know about all those elements articles usually have. But my tutor mentioned in her feedback that sharing a personal experience could make it more emotional and relatable.

My tutor also mentioned that I should highlight the social dilemma and the effect the documentary had or was supposed to have on people.

Plus, I should include more scientific examples or solid data from my research.

The image I found on Google when writing about social media. I thought it fit very well as we can see all the likes and notifications that pop up. This goes well as I am talking about how much attention we give when we continuously see messages popping up, as well as how algorithms influence us and our attention.

Why I included an image is that I wanted to break up the extensive writing with something more visual. Sometimes, it may be hard to concentrate on so much writing.
